| I had applied with you long back but I have not heard from you. Should I submit my resume once again? |
| If you have already submitted your resume either online or as an attachment to us, then please DO NOT apply once again. We apologize for not processing your application. Please write to home@focusmt.com giving details of your name, date of birth, and HR ID assigned to you (if available). We have huge # of MT professionals who are wanting to take work from Focus, and we need more time to process all the applications. |
| I took the test assigned to me long back but I have not got any results from Focus. What is going on? |
| There are several instances where we would NOT have received transcripts. Hence, please send an e-mail to home@focusmt.com with your HR ID asking for status of your results. |
| Can I take up test for home-based job at your branch office? |
| We would be more than happy to test your skills for home-based job at any of our branch offices. Please visit our contact us page to know the postal address of our branch offices. |
| I received your test files but I cannot play the files. What do I do? |
| Unfortunately, some individuals cannot play the voice files. In such cases, please ask for a retest. If you still have problem, then you will have to compulsorily come to one of our offices to take test. |
| What will the online test consist of? |
| The online test will consist of audio files of about 10 minutes' duration for transcription along with 25 objective type questions based on anatomy, physiology, English, etc. |
| Do I need to have a computer to take online test? |
| No, you can take the test at a cyber center too. However, you will need to specifically ask to have administrator rights on the computer when you take test with us. Also, once selected, it is a must that you have your own computer to work from home although it is not a must to have a foot pedal. |
| What if I decide to work full time for you after getting selected for home transcription/proofing? |
| You will be eligible by default to work in our office once you are selected for our home transcription/proofing program. Please see "job opportunities" web page for various designations available with us and contact our HR department to know what designation you would be eligible for. |
| If I opt to proofread, do I still need to transcribe? |
| Yes, you will need to transcribe approximately 20% to 50% of the work based on the platform that you chose to work as an HT. |
| Will there be any tax deduction on my payments? |
| Yes, 10.3% of the amount payable to you will be deducted by us. |
| Will I need to have all the reference materials/CDs? |
| Yes, the company doesn't provide you with any reference material, and it is essential that you need to procure the same at your own cost. |
| What is the mode of payment from you? |
| You will be paid on 10th of every month for the previous month's work. You will be paid only via direct transfer to your account of Citibank or ICICI. |
| How do I get my payment if I do not have an account in Citibank, HDFC, Axis or ICICI bank? |
| It is mandatory to have an account in one the above-mentioned banks. |
| Do I need to pay any security deposit if I am selected before starting work? |
| No. |
| What is the payment cycle going to be? |
| You are going to be paid once a month, and the payment shall reach you within 15th of each month via courier. However, if you have a Citibank account, electronic transfer is a possibility; then, the payment can be made within the 10th of every month. |
| I am unable to procure a foot pedal through market. Can you help me? |

| Do I need to have any software to work for you? |
| No, we provide the software. However, you would need a computer with the following specifications: |
| Why can we not outsource home-based work to MT professionals outside India or US/Canada? |
| Because we do not have control on the laws of that non-India/US/Canada country and if the MT professional goofs up with any report, we cannot take any legal proceedings against that individual. |
